Jason and Shirley first met in 2003 while retraining with the U.S. Air Force in Biloxi, Mississippi. It was love at first sight. Though duty quickly separated them, Jason in San Antonio and Shirley in Hawaii, the distance only made their bond stronger. After eight months of long-distance dating, Jason knew Shirley was “the one.”

That Thanksgiving, Shirley visited Jason in Texas, where an unexpected motorcycle accident tested them both. Jason was injured, but Shirley cared for him with patience and love, never once upset by the situation. When she flew back to Hawaii, Jason called his parents and told them, without a doubt, that he was going to marry her.

On Valentine’s Day 2004, Jason and Shirley were married on the steps of the Bexar County Courthouse at midnight. As they exchanged vows, snow began to fall, a rare and magical blessing in Texas.

Over the past 21 years, life has brought them three wonderful children, countless moves, deployments, and challenges, but their love has only grown deeper. Jason and Shirley are excited to finally celebrate the wedding they always dreamed of, this time with family and friends by their side.
